Essential technical knowledge of solder paste printing machine process

1. Steel mesh: Its main function is to accurately coat the solder paste on the PCB pads, and its quality directly affects the quality of printing. The current production methods of steel mesh include chemical etching, laser cutting, and electroforming.
2. Squeegee pressure: refers to the depth of the descent of the squeegee, which is one of the important factors affecting the printing quality. If the squeegee pressure is too small, a layer of solder paste will remain on the surface of the stencil, which is likely to cause printing defects such as printing and forming adhesion. Huancheng adopts a closed-loop control mechanism system for the independent scraper head of the scraper.
3. Printing speed: There is a certain relationship between printing speed and squeegee pressure. Decreasing the speed is equivalent to increasing the pressure. Appropriately reducing the pressure can increase the printing speed. Huancheng adopts dual-base five-axis linkage to match the printing speed to make the equipment printing more stable.
4. Printing gap: The printing gap refers to the distance between the stencil and the PCB, which affects the amount of solder paste remaining on the PCB after printing.
5. The angle of the scraper and the steel mesh: the smaller the angle between the scraper and the steel mesh, the greater the downward pressure, which will easily inject the solder paste into the mesh, but it is also easy to cause the solder paste to be squeezed onto the bottom surface of the steel mesh. Solder paste adhesion. The angle between the scraper and the steel mesh is usually 45~60°.
6. Graphic alignment: Use the camera lens of the automatic solder paste printer to align the optical positioning points of the substrate and the steel mesh on the workbench, and then fine-tune the substrate and the steel mesh to make the substrate land pattern match the steel mesh.
